Solution and How it works
The brainchild of long-time Toronto location scout Jason Schwartz MyLocations.TV provides standing residential sets in the GTA that are malleable canvases for creating your specific residential backdrop. The film industry in Toronto often faces challenges in finding suitable and affordable residential homes for film productions. This can result in delays, increased costs, and compromises in the creative vision of filmmakers. Simultaneously, homeowners of empty, demolition-slated homes struggle to find buyers or alternative uses for their properties. This creates a missed opportunity for homeowners to generate income while their properties remain vacant and unused.

Solution
mylocations.tv aims to address these challenges by bridging the gap between filmmakers and homeowners. We facilitate 
the collaboration between the two parties, allowing filmmakers to access unique "standing sets" while homeowners can generate income through the temporary use of their properties for film production.

Here's how it works
Scouts/managers/production personnel contact us directly providing a few details about their specific production, dates and needs and which of our sets they'd like to view in person. Rates to shoot in homes vary but are approx. $3000 per shoot day and $1500/prep/wrap days (plus applicable HST) This includes any furnishings on site. Some flexibility with these rates may be extended depending on budget/duration. Bookings are made directly with MyLocations.tv and subsequent fees are remitted to the homeowner by us. 
An invoice will be provided. The production company will be asked to provide a COl for their specific production dates in advance of prep.

Homeowners simply contact us directly to have their home photographed at no cost to them, these images and their personal information remain secure until a specific production has expressed interest in utilizing their home and they have consented to the terms offered. MyLocations.tv may choose to partially "dress" your home to make it more sellable to potential productions. There is no cost to you... We market the home to our array of contacts in the industry, vet any serious proposals and ensure necessary agreements, insurance, permits and payment are provided in advance. We also ensure the home is left in a clean and suitable state post-production.

Booking fees are discussed and agreed to in advance based on the individual production, duration, and requirements. This is a win-win for both the homeowner and production company as it guarantees a smoother process for all and brings unused residential locations to the table not otherwise found in the traditional sphere of location options and or existing libraries. It ensures that both the concerns of the homeowners are met as well as those of the production. We look forward to working with you
